Marker Chain Length
If marker fails to reach ground when unfolded, or is skip-
ping field depressions, the chain is too short.
If marker drags across ground for more than 30cm (12in)
before lifting, the chain length is too long.
Refer to Figure 152
1.
Unfold marker.
2.
Adjust/set Marker Extension (page 163) before
adjusting chain length.
3.
Remove take-up bolt
.
4.
Re-insert bolt to obtain an approximate chain length
160 cm (63 in)
Tighten bolt.
5.
Fold, unfold and re-fold marker to validate new chain
length.
6.
Thread bolt in (up) until head is flush with inside jam
nut and both are flush with inside of channel.
7.
Slowly fold marker while observing disk. If marker
disk drags across ground more than 12in (30cm)
before lifting, the chain is too long.

Refer to Figure 153
If grease-seal cap
for marker disk hub bearings is
damaged or missing, disassemble and clean hub.
Repack with grease and install a new seal or grease cap.
