The document is not correctly load-

Load the document correctly.
The document is not suitable for the

Check if a foreign material is on the
flatbed.
Clean up the flatbed.
Paper is not correctly loaded.
Load paper correctly.
Black spots are printed on the
last part of paper.
The size is different from the docu-
ment.
Set the size to the document.
Shadow image when scan-
ning the OHP
The film is not fully pressed.
Place a book on the film for
tight pressing.

Network connection
or the settings has
problems
In case of using wire network check if the network cable is
properly connected.(After connected, 2 LED lamps on MFP
port should be on or blinked to be normally connected)
In order to use Scan to Network/Print to Network, PC
and MFP should have same (sub)netmask and gateway.
If the connection is OK, refer to 4.7 Network Settings to
check the network settings.
If you still have the problem, contact your network
administrator
The scanned file
cannot be sent
to E-mail/FTP/
Shared Folder
There is a prob-
lem in the net-
work connection.
The settings
of E-mail/FTP/
Shared Folder-
have problems..
Check if the network connection is OK.
Check the registration setting of SMTP server.(Server ad-
dress, Authorization, ID/Password)
Make sure the receiver`s E-mail/FTP/Shared Folder server
addresses are correctly entered.
Check with your service provider if the e-mail server you
have registered to allows any access from out side.
