5. Understanding of MFP Messages
The LCD of the control panel is designed to display the current status and problems. This section describes
messages and how to respond them.
Messages
Meanings
Actions
Invalid Cartridge No or unsupported cartridge
Reinstall the cartridge. If this message ap-
pears again, replace the cartridge..
Cover Open
The front cover is open.
Close the cover.
Cancel Job?
This message appears when press-
ing 【 】 or cancel the job in job Man-
ager window while copying, scanning
or faxing.
Factory Defaults
Restoring
Factory defaults are being restored.
(Toner Low)
The toner is low
Shake the catridge to use the remaining
toner. Replace the cartridge
Reference
- If you don’t replace the cartridge, qual-
ity problems can occur. Also, the ma-
chine will stop after printing a few more
sheets.
Replace Toner
Cartridge
The toner cartridge reaches its life
and should be replaced.
Replace the cartridge with a new one.
Tray Empty(T1)
No paper on Tray 1
Load paper on Tray 1.
Tray Empty(T2)
No paper on Tray 2.
Load paper on Tray 2.
Tray Empty(T3)
No paper on Tray 3
Load paper on Tray 3.
