Danger!
l
All power connections (terminal strip X1) can carry dangerous electrical
voltages if the starttec is connected to the mains. For this reason,
de−energise the starttec before beginning to work on it or opening the
housing.
−21−
l
All control terminals feature only basic insulation (single isolating
distance) after the connection of a PTC thermistor (PTC) or a thermal
switch (NC contact):
–
Protection against accidental contact with defective isolating distance
can only be ensured through external measures, e.g. double insulation.
)
Note!
Operation with motors < 250 W or with motor currents < 1 A in all
operating modes
The starttec is designed for motor powers of 250 W ... 4 kW or motor
currents of 1 A ... 9.5 A.
The following must be observed if you operate motors on the starttec with
powers < 250 W or rated currents < 1 A:
l
The internal I
2
xt monitoring cannot be used due to the low current:
–
Switch off the internal I
2
xt monitoring (C0121 = 0).
–
Monitor the motor temperature with a PTC or thermal contact (NC
contact)
–
In addition you can use suitable external motor protection switches.
l
During operation, the mains phase failure detection may respond
although no mains failure has occurred.
–
Adjust the mains phase failure detection to "warning" (C0122 = 1) so
that the drive does not switch off with an error message.
