S41i CO2 Incubator Shaker — Operating manual
Agitation gain
If you measure the shaking speed (“Actual Speed”) with a tachometer and find that it does not
match the speed displayed in the STATUS and SUMMARY screens (“Indicated Speed”), proceed
as follows:
1. Let the unit arrive at the desired shaking speed, then record the Indicated Speed from the
display.
2. Use a tachometer to measure the speed and record the Actual Speed.
3. Calculate the Speed correction value using this formula:
Actual Speed – Indicated Speed = Agitation Gain Value.
4. In the SET CALIBRATION screen, press anywhere in the Agitation Gain line. This screen will
open:
5. When the speed stabilizes, press the OK button. This screen will open:
6. Use the keypad to enter the RPM as you measured it, then press the OK button to save the
value.
This allows the system to recalibrate agitation speed.
Hint!
No setpoint or agitation gain below 100 rpm or above 400 rpm can be entered.
