S41i CO2 Incubator Shaker — Operating manual
The initial display will come on for a few moments, then you will see the STATUS screen
(see Preparing for operation on p. 22).
In the unlikely event that the audible alarm sounds upon start-up, a yellow ALARM screen will
appear, prompting you to mute and to acknowledge the alarm:
1. Press the Mute button in the screen to silence the audible alarm.
2. If you have Administrator status (see USER ACCESS screen on p. 43), follow the instructions
to acknowledge the alarm; if you have User status, get an Administrator to acknowledge the
alarm.
3. Use the LEFT and RIGHT arrow buttons to see if there are any other alarms to acknowledge.
4. If any alarms continue to be unacknowledged, there will be a yellow star behind the ALARM
icon in the STATUS and SUMMARY screen until the alarm is acknowledged.
5. After acknowledgement, the reason for any alarm should be tended to and rectified. For
details on using alarms (see ALARM SETTINGS screen on p. 30).
5.4 Using the touchscreen
5.4.1 Initial display and STATUS screen
This is the first screen you will see when you turn the incubator/shaker ON:

This is a sample screen, the version number shown will vary.
1 The yellow smiling icon in the upper lefthand corner of each screen indicates that
the software is working. If at any time you see a red frowning icon, the software is
not working and will require troubleshooting.
