Chapter 2
The Grand Tour
This chapter identifies the various components of your computer. Become
familiar with each component before you operate the computer.
Front with display closed
This figure shows the computer’s front with its display panel in the
closed position.

Display latch
This latch secures the LCD panel in its closed
position. Slide the latch to open the display.
PC Card latches
When you install a PC Card, the corresponding
latch (left latch, slot “1”; right latch slot “0”) locks
into place. Refer to the PC Card section in
Chapter 8,
Volume control
Use this dial to adjust the volume of the system
speaker and headphones.
