Guaranteed Imageable (Printable) Area
The printable area differs depending
on whether copying or printing is being
performed. Be aware of the following
when performing these operations.
When copying
The printable area for all media sizes is
up to 4.0 mm (0.157") from the edges
of the media.
When printing
The printable area for all media sizes is
up to 4.2 mm (0.165") from the edges
of the media.
When specifying a custom page size
from an application, specify a size that
fits within the printable area in order to
achieve the best results.
Envelopes
Envelopes can only be printed on their front sides (side where the recipient’s
address is written). In addition, printing on the front side in the area overlap-
pingthe back flap cannot be guaranteed. The location of this area differs
depending on the envelope type.
