Configuring Your Modem
Follow the steps below to make the settings before using the built-in modem.

Click Start and Control Panel.

Select Large icons or Small icons from View by in the upper right corner of the window.

Click Phone and Modem.

Enter the required information, and then click OK.
The Phone and Modem window appears.

Select your location on the Dialing Rules tab and click Edit.
The Edit Location window appears.

Select your location under Country/region.

Select Tone or Pulse for Dial using.

Pulse dial may not be supported in some counties or areas.

Enter an area code (if there is one).
In some countries or regions, you do not need to enter an area code.
If you need to dial a special number before accessing an outside line, enter the number for both To access an outside
line for local calls, dial and To access an outside line for long-distance calls, dial.

Click OK.
10 Click OK in the Phone and Modem window appears.
