Firmware update SUCCESSFUL.
If the update is unable to start the system prints:
Firmware update CANCELLED by system, no firmware modified.
If the update fails, system prints:
Firmware update FAILED, firmware may be modified .
If the firmware update fails, a message that describes the cause of the error and the state of
each affected FRU will print.
Effects messages
This section contains the messages that can be displayed when the system reports the effects of
applying the requested update:
•
Error: New bundle version is lower and FORCE option was not selected.
•
Warning: New bundle version is lower and FORCE option was selected.
•
Ok: A FRU will be completely updated.
•
Warning: A FRU will be partially updated.
•
Warning: A FRU will not be updated, because the bundle does not
support it.
•
Error: Updating Complex Firmware would result in an active partition
being unbootable due to incompatible Partition Firmware.
•
Warning: Updating Complex Firmware will result in an inactive
partition being unbootable due to incompatible Partition Firmware
•
Error: Updating Partition Firmware will result in an active partition
being unbootable due to incompatible Complex Firmware.
•
Warning: Updating Partition Firmware will result in an inactive
partition being unbootable due to incompatible Complex Firmware.
•
Critical: Update of a device has failed. Reapply firmware update
without attempting to restart the system.
