Firmware update SUCCESSFUL.
IMPORTANT:
If an IOX FPGA needs to be updated and 2 partitions are affected, both will
be listed. They must both be shut down at the same time in order for the FPGA update to take
place.
NOTE:
If the system is unable to determine the bundle version applied to the device,
Installed Version
will be reported as Invalid.
If the update is unable to start the system prints:
Firmware update CANCELLED by system, no firmware modified.
If the update fails, system prints:
Firmware update FAILED, firmware may be modified

If the firmware update fails, a message that describes the cause of the error and the state of
each affected FRU will print.

Description:
Installs partition firmware from a bundle
The REINSTALL option forces the system to update the partition firmware on the targeted
partition or blade, including images that already match the firmware version in the target
bundle.
IMPORTANT:
The command will exit with if any targeted partitions are powered on.

Access level/Bay level:
Any
•
Restrictions:
You must be connected to the monarch OA to perform this command.

Example:
oa_host_name> update npartition 2 ftp://server/complex_bundle2.3
The URI you provided points to firmware bundle version 2.3.
The following blades will be updated in partition 2 “par2_name”:
