is not specified. –z and –n are mutually exclusive.

The default parspec is modified with the –n option.

Specifies a name for the new virtual partition. The name
for the vPar should be specified either using the –p

-P vp_name

or –P options. Attempts to specify the vPar

name using both the –p and –p options in the
same command line will be considered invalid.

A partition name with the same format as the default
name can only be specified if the specified name
matches the vPar number.

Access level/Bay level:

OA Administrator, OA Operator

Restriction:

You must be connected to the monarch OA.

VPARBOOT

Command:

vparboot { -p vpar_id -N npar_id | -p npar_id:vpar_id }

Description:

The vparboot command boots the specified virtual partition. The virtual partition must exist
and be in the DOWN run-state. The nPartition containing the virtual partition to be booted
must either be booted in vPars mode or inactive with the next boot mode as vPars.

No boot related options other than virtual partition name/number and nPar name/number
are supported.

The options for the command:

one of the following non-numeric characters:

a-z

A-Z

- (dash)

_ (underscore)

If a -p option is not specified, a vPar
number is automatically assigned to the created virtual
partition. If both and –p and –P are not
