To export a server profile:
NOTE:
VCEM detects the presence of logical server managers or upper level managers. When
performing an export, the following dialog message appears:
IMPORTANT: VCEM has detected you may be using other products, such as
HP Insight Dynamics VSE. Exporting this Server Profile to another VC
Domain Group can make it inconsistent with the upper level manager. It
is recommended to use the upper level manager to perform Server Profile
changes. Type YES to proceed with this operation.
1.
Select Server Profiles from the menu.
2.
Select a server profile and click Export.
NOTE:
You can export either assigned or unassigned profiles.
3.
Select the VC Domain Group that you want as a target.
4.
Select the VC Domain from the VC Domain Group target in which to export the server profile
and click OK. The following message is displayed:
The Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager is executing the request.
5.
Click OK and browse to the Jobs page to monitor the progress.
If there are any problems with the export, the Export Profile Prevalidation pop-up window opens
and displays step status and further actions to take.

If there are no errors or post-installation tasks, the server profile export completes without the Export
Profile Prevalidation pop-up window being displayed.
