1. Insert the key into the cassette lock. To unlock the cassette, apply inward
pressure on the key while turning it clockwise to the stop position (approxi-
mately a quarter-turn). Open the cassette by simultaneously pressing the
release button and lifting the lid. Flip the lid back fully (Figures 4-15 and 4-
16).

1. Ensure cassettes are . To remove the reject cassette, (top chan-
nel) grasp the cassette handle with one hand while holding the mechanism
in place with the other hand. Pull the cassette out slightly. Place one hand
underneath to support the cassette as you slide it completely out of the
unit. Place it on a level surface (Figures 4-14a and 4-14b).
*IMPORTANT*
If you remove the reject vault with power applied, the terminal will
sense this and automatically reset the rejected note count to ZERO.
Therefore, to ensure an accurate rejected note count NEVER RE-
MOVE THE REJECT VAULT WITH POWER APPLIED WITHOUT
CHECKING FOR AND REMOVING ANY REJECTED NOTES!
