Introduction
This document describes the changes to the RL5000/FT5000XP 1.0.21 software version for
Prism5K.
Platforms Affected
This release is for the following PrismXP families:
• RL5000

New Features Added
Graphic Printing
This release added the ability to print graphics and coupons on receipts. The Prism and
WebComponents 1.0.0.4 applications were changed to support this functionality. Graphic files
containing the image that is printed on the receipt must be installed locally. In addition to
supporting graphic printing via WebComponents, the Function Identifier “D (Print)” in the
Function Command is now also supported. The graphic file formats supported are BMP and
GIF.
Description of Changes
In addition to adding graphics printing, these related issues were also addressed:
Partial Dispense Status byte in Dispenser solicited status
The solicited status message sent to the host for the dispenser contains a Partial Dispense Status
(byte 3). An option was added to Management Functions in Cash Dispenser Setup; General
Settings called Select Partial Dispense Status that determines the value of this byte for cassette
low and out situations. Below is a description of the available settings:
Return’5’ for Low and Out (default)
The Partial Dispense Status byte will always be ‘5’ for cassette low and cassette out messages
sent to the host.
Return ‘3’ for Low and Out
The Partial Dispense Status byte will always be ‘3’ for cassette low and cassette out messages
sent to the host.
Return “5’ for Low and ‘3 when all cassettes are Out
