The Partial Dispense Status byte will be ‘5’ for cassette low and cassette out messages sent to the
host. However, when the last cassette goes to a cassette out situation, the status byte will be ‘3’.

Function Commands not processed

This release addresses the situation where Function Commands sent by the host where not
received by the terminal.

Installing TLF updates

Management Functions has an option in System Parameters called Perform Software Updates.
Previously, this option would only search an attached flash drive (D:\) for available TLF files.
The behavior of this option has changed, and it now also searches the C:\ root drive for available
TLF files.

G State (Validate Amount) Functionality

In the previous release, the Validate Withdrawal Amount (State G) did not confirm that the
amount entered was a whole dollar amount (zero cents).

Print Data with EscW (Wide print)

The Prism application doesn’t support the EscW (Wide print) option. When the host’s print data
included an EscW, a blank receipt was printed. This release ignores any EscW entries, and
prints all other relevant data.

Command Reject Encryption Key change

The host sends an Encryption Key Command “32” to store the COMM key for PIN validation.
There is an unknown situation where the command from the host is rejected by the terminal.
This causes the terminal to go out of service until a reboot is performed. As a workaround, the
system now automatically reboots so the terminal can be put back in service immediately.

Host Communications

The following changes apply to Management Functions options in Terminal Configuration,
Communications
.

IP/Server addresses
This release allows the customer to clear a previously entered IP or Server address via the
Ethernet Settings menu by pressing the ‘Clear’ key from the front screen or the ‘Backspace’ key
from the rear screen when editing the desired address.

MACing
In previous software releases, if the option called MACing on the General Settings menu, the
wrong option functionality was performed. This release changes the setting to perform, as
follows:
• Send the time variant number or MAC data in the consumer request message.
• Verify the time variant number or MAC data in the function command message.

• Verify the MAC data in the Write Command I and Write Command VI messages.
