Seed Hawk™ Viper Pro™ Installation & Operation Manual
The following table discusses the alarms and the conditions that will set off an alarm for products 1 through 3.
Alarm
Condition
Off Rate
This alarm activates when the actual application rate differs from the specified percentage
rate for more than five seconds, This alarm activates only when the system is in Auto mode.
The alarm automatically clears when the target rate and actual rate are within the specified
range or when the product mode is switched to either Manual or Off.
Low Tank
This alarm activates when the tank volume has dropped below the specified limit. The alarm
can be cleared when you either enter a value that is above the low tank value or when you
enter a zero in the Low Tank field.
Vac/Bin
For an injection application, the Vac alarm is active. This alarm activates when the vacuum
sensor detects a vacuum in the tank. You must troubleshoot the system to determine the
cause of the alarm and clear it. For a granular application, the Bin alarm is active. This alarm
activates when the bin level sensor detects that the granular level in the bin drops below the
sensor.
Fan Limit
This alarm is activated when one or both of the fans on the air cart has exceeded the high
rpm fan limit.
Zero Pressure
The zero pressure alarm is displayed if one or more air cart bins has lost pressure. Be sure
that the bin covers are in place and secure to repressurize the bins.
Zero Speed
This alarm activates when the speed of the vehicle drops below 0.7 MPH and the Zero
Speed Shutoff function is enabled. Cycle the master switch to clear the alarm and resume
product control.
Seed Gate Position
If the position of one or more of the seed gates does not correspond to the section switch or
product switch on the Seed Hawk switch box, the Viper Pro will display a warning. Make
sure that the seed gates are able to open and close properly. Note: An SCT node must be
on the CANbus for the Viper Pro to detect or display this alarm condition.
Ultrasonic Failure
This alarm is activated If no signal is received from the ultrasonic sensor in one or more air
cart bins.
Low Fan Limit
This alarm will activate if one or both fans drop below the desired low fan RPM limit.
Note: If the fan alarm is enabled, the seed gates and master clutch will not activate unless
the fan RPM is above the low limit to prevent plugging seed tubes if the fan is not providing
enough air flow to move product.
Insuff. Meter Rev.
This alarm activates during the cal weight calculation if the meter does not register at least
one full revolution.
HC Power Disc.
The HC Power Disc. alarm is displayed if high current voltage falls below 9 Volts.
