Using the Seed
Hawk
®
Viper Pro
System
After you have learned to navigate the Viper interface, you are ready to start using the system.
Please be aware that once you have completed certain fields during the job setup process, the Viper Pro
system will automatically fill in the fields for you with the same contents the next time you start a job. You can
make changes to these fields when you go through the setup if you wish to do so.
Examples of these automated fields include:
Product Application, Swath Guidance Type, Sectional Control, Swath Pattern, Sectional Control Apply/No-
Apply, Number of Products, Product Name, Product Chaining, Chained Product Name, and Enable Auto
Advance. You will see these fields as you go through the process of starting a new job. The next time you start
a new job, these fields will automatically be filled in for you with the selections you made while setting up the
previous job.
Seed Hawk Switch Box
The Seed Hawk switch box may be used to manually control products and/or sections or to enable automatic
product rate control or the Seed Hawk SCT system.
Section Switches. In an SCT system, the section switches set the control mode for drill sections. Toggle
section switches to the OFF or ON position to manually control sections of the drill. Toggle the switch to the
SCT position to allow the Seed Hawk Viper Pro and SCT system to automatically control assigned functions
based on coverage or apply/no-apply maps.
