Field
Description
STP
Configurable field; enables or disables the Spanning
Tree Protocol on the selected port.
❏
Enable — the port joins the Spanning Tree
Protocol calculation; the state of the port is
decided by STP and will be in blocking, listen-
ing, learning, or forwarding mode.
❏
Disable — the port is removed from the Span-
ning Tree Protocol calculation.
▲
Important: if the port’s state is enabled and
the STP is disabled, the port remains in the
forwarding mode.
