Description
LocalAbility
Read-only field; displays the connecting ability of the
local port in the device (what the port is capable of).
The information displayed is in hexadecimal format;
for example, IE:00 (where “IE” is Byte 1 and “00” is
Byte 2).
Bit definitions:
Byte 1:

1 — 10Base-T capable

2 — 10Base-T full duplex capable

3 — 100Base-TX capable

4 — 100Base-TX full duplex capable

AdvertisedAbility
Configurable field; determines the port’s advertised
capabilities.
For example, a port may be capable of full duplex
operation; however, you can change its Advertised-
Ability so that it appears to not be capable of full
duplex operation.
The information displayed is in hexadecimal format.

ReceivedAbility
Read-only field; displays what the port is actually
doing.
The information displayed is in hexadecimal format.

RestartAutoConfig
Configurable field; forces auto-negotiation to begin
link negotiation.
▲ Important: This has no effect if auto-negotiation
signaling is disabled.
