Notes:
1.

These locations can be used for analog modules if locations 17 - 32 are occupied.

2.

These locations can be used for discrete modules if locations 1 - 16 are occupied.

3.

Module occupies two locations.

4.

ICN Module occupies two locations and may be in locations 25 through 32 only.

5.

RS-232 Module and RS-485 4-Wire Module are double wide modules that can occupy
slots 31-32 (Port 1), 28-29 or 29-30 (Port 2), 25-26 or 26-27 or 27-28 (Port 3).
RS-485 2-Wire Module is a single wide module that can occupy slot 32 (Port 1), 29 or
30 (Port 2), 26 or 27 or 28 (Port 3).

! CAUTION

Module group S25 to S32 is reserved for modules whose circuits are rated less than
30V rms 42.4V peak or 60Vdc. Module locations within a group (S1 to S8, S9 to S16
and S17 to S24) must all be rated less than 30V rms or 42.4V peak or 60Vdc or must
all be rated for greater than 30V rms or 42.4V peak or 60Vdc.Do not mix modules
employed in circuits rated less than 30 V rms or 42.4V peak or 60Vdc with modules
used in circuits greater than 30V rms or 42.4V peak or 60Vdc within the same group.

WARNING

Do not use any I/O module which i s not listed in Instruction Notice 92902-98 (back of
book). When used in flush mount controller, the listed modules are FM Approved and
CSA Certified for use in Class I, Division 2, Group A, B, C or D hazardous (classified)
locations. Substitution of a module not on the list voids the Approval/Certification.

WARNING

Do not use a 2011A Mechanical Rel ay Output Module when the installation
environment contains chemicals which can degrade the materials used to seal the
relay in the module. The sealing materials are as follows:
• Polybutylene Terephthalate, Po lyplastics Co. Ltd., Compound No. 3270
• Polyphelene Suffide, Summitomo Chemical Co. Ltd., Compound No. 3601GL30
• Epoxy Resin, Summito Bakelite Co. Ltd., SUMIMAC ECR-9107K
Degradation of the relay seal voi ds the Approval/Certification of the instrument for use
in Class I, Division 2, Group A, B, C or D hazardous (classified) locations.
