Unit Requirements:

Please make sure all appropriate personal protective equipment is used before start up
of this unit. Refer to and follow the requirements of the Material Safety Data Sheets
supplied by your coating material manufacturer for solvent, adhesive and activator.

CAUTION: Always wear proper safety equipment (glasses, gloves, respirator,
etc.) when working on the dispensing equipment.

Air Requirements:

1. The system requires a supply of air 1.2 m

3

/min (42cfm) and at 6 -7 bar (85-103psi).

2. Please use a 1/2" inch (12-13mm) inside diameter air hose minimum (Use caution

when using quick disconnects as they may restrict air flow).

3. Preferably the air will be clean, dry and oil free.

CFH-5000 Inline Resin Heaters Electrical:

Each CFH-5000 Clean Flow Resin Heater

– is 4000 watt, 1PH, 220Vac @ 18.18amp

Optimizing Output:

Resin viscosity:
High viscosity resins will reduce the potential output of any metering machine for a
given power input. Viscosity of the resin can be decreased by:
a) Increasing the temperature.
b) Reducing filler loadings.
c) Using viscosity modifiers

Pipe work restriction from pump to mixing head:
Fitting larger bore output hoses or reducing the hose length can improve output of the
machine. This is an important factor if long hoses (> 4 meters) or higher viscosity resins
are used.

Fillers:
When using fillers, it is essential that the filler is well mixed and not allowed to settle out
over a period of time. A tank agitator may be used. Alternatively, regularly re-circulate

the resin. This may however reduce pump seal life. Filler particle sizes of 5

m or less

should be used. If filter blockage is occurring, a larger mesh size should be used.
