Press Platens
Large presses, hammers, and injection molding machines may have damaged areas on the platens or pockets
that need to be machined. It is more cost-effective to do this milling in place. Flexible spindle positioning makes
the LM6000 ideal for this type of work.
Weldment Milling
Fabrications often need to have weldments milled flush to establish true equipment mounting surfaces. The
LM6000 is quick to set up for milling long straight surfaces.
Mounting Pad Milling
During construction or retrofit, sometimes the surface of pads that are used for mounting winches, cranes,
pumps, compressors, and turbines need to be milled. With large rectangular surfaces, the LM6000 is the only
answer.
Power Generation
In power generation facilities, motors are often mounted on steel pads embedded in concrete. When the
motor mount is out of alignment, the best fix is to re-machine it in place using an LM6000. Horizontal joint
repair on turbines and pumps can also be done with this machine.
