Input selection
You can select an input for either output (preview or program) using SIS commands.

Take (switch preview output to program output)
The cut or dissolve effect is determined by the Switching Effect,

(0 = cut, 1 = dissolve) *4#
command. See Command/Response Table for Special Function SIS Commands.
The preview switch mode, stay or swap, determines the preview output after the take command.
• In stay mode, the preview output remains unchanged (both outputs share the same input).
• In swap mode, the program output switches to the preview output (the two outputs swap inputs).
Switch video and audio % Tke0 Switch preview video and audio

Switch audio only 2% Tke2 Switch preview audio output to
the program output.
The response (Tke0 , Tke1 , or Tke2 ) indicates that the switcher has received and is responding
to the “Take” command. A larger series of switcher-initiated messages follows the Tke response
during a cut or dissolve operation. The following two examples show the sequence of responses to a
“Take” command in stay and swap mode. See Busy (cut and dissolve) earlier in this chapter for
more details about the responses after the Tke response.
Example (stay mode): % Tke0 Take command.

Video mute
Video mute on X2 *1B X2 Vmt X3 Set the X2 video output to black.

selected input 1 through 8.

Input video type
Set video type X1 * X5 \ X1 Typ X5 Specify input X1 video type.
Example: 4*3\ 4Typ3 Specify input 4 type as YUVp.
