Introducing the Command
Interface
This chapter explains how to log in, use, and log out of the command interface in the P-
870MH-C1.

Refer to the release notes for your device for a complete list of commands
available. Use of undocumented commands or misconfiguration can damage
the unit and possibly render it unusable.
5.1 Starting the Command Interface (Logging In)
You can access the command interface via the SMT or Telnet.
5.1.1 Via the SMT
To access the CI from the SMT, enter 8 from Menu 24 — System Maintenance. Type “
exit
”
to return to the SMT main menu when finished.

5.1.2 Via Telnet
Follow the steps below to log into the command interface via Telnet
1 Telnet to the device. The default IP address is 192.168.1.2.
