Problem
When you receive a phone call, your modem immediately seizes control
of the telephone line.
Solution
Your modem may be configured for auto-answering. To disable auto-
answer, type ATS0=0 and press Enter with the modem in command
state.
Dialing Problems
Problem
Your modem does not dial calls.
Solutions
•
Make sure the supplied telephone cable is connected to your
modem’s LINE jack and not the PHONE jack.
•
You are using touch-tone dialing on a line that requires pulse dialing.
Change your communications software to use pulse dialing.
Data Transfer Problems
Problem
You can make a data connection with a remote modem, but encounter
frequent errors during data transfers.
