The File Output Information Settings About ServerPush Information
By default, Real Media templates do
not have ServerPush Output specified.
The ServerPush method, or pushing
the live stream to a streaming server
can be configured by using an external
streaming server, for example a Helix
Streaming Server.
Specifying ServerPush Information
Administrator Settings > Template Editor > Real Writer
Server type . Select either Server 90 or
Server G2
Server name . IP address of external
streaming server
Port . Specify a port that is not already
being used.
Username, Password & Password
confirm . For streaming off an external
streaming server, enter the username &
password to be used for authentication
with your external streaming server.
Transcoding and Archiving Real Media format content can be streamed live or on demand off external streaming servers (Helix or G2) .
ServerPush Output Information should be configured in the following way:
For streaming off a
Helix server, the live streaming path should be rtsp:///encoder and the on demand path should be
rtsp:///.
For on demand streaming, check
Archive Enabled on the external server and set the On demand Output in the writer to ServerPush output.
For streaming off a G server, the live streaming path should be
rtsp:///broadcast foldername and the on demand path should be rtsp:///.
For on demand streaming, check
Archive Enabled on the external server.
In the Real Writer Information Page ,
click on ServerPush to produce the
ServerPush Output Information .
