Opening and Closing the
Duplex Reversal Unit
There are times when you might have
to detach the Duplex Reversal Unit to
remove misfed paper. This section
describes how to detach the Duplex
Reversal Unit.
AAAA
Push up the lock release button
and keep it in place.
BBBB
Lower the Duplex Reversal Unit
slowly until it stops.
Important
❒ Open the Duplex Reversal Unit
after detaching the 2 Tray Fin-
isher from the printer.
Note
❒ You do not have to remove the
output tray even if the 2 Tray
Finisher is attached.

Raise the Duplex Reversal Unit
slowly with both hands, and push
it in until it clicks into place.

closed.
Important
❒ Attach the Duplex Reversal
Unit after closing the upper left
cover for the printer.
Removing Misfed Paper in the
Duplex Feed Unit
You can remove misfed paper from
the Duplex Feed Unit following the
procedure below.
Note
❒ When a paper misfeed occurs in
the Duplex Feed Unit, the printer
usually sends the misfed paper to
the right cover and there is no need
to execute following procedure.
See p.92 “When "Remove Misfeed
A:Internal Path" Appears”.
Important
❒ Be sure to remove a misfed paper
following the procedure below,
only when "Remove Misfeed: Dup.
Feed Unit" appears on the panel
display.
