Customizing your pda phone
You can customize your pda phone in the following ways:
• Display personal information such as your name and address
• Display the current date and time, and different date and time
formats for other countries and time zones
• Choose how long your pda phone stays on before shutting down to
save the battery
• Allow your pda phone to stay on while in the cradle (if your pda
phone is equipped with rechargable batteries)
• Control the sound volume
• Allow your pda phone to automatically receive any data beamed to
it
To open the Preferences application:
You set preferences to customize your device.
To enter the Preferences screen:
1. Tap the Applications icon .
2. Select All or System from the pick list in the upper right corner of the
screen.
3. Tap the Prefs icon .
To personalize your pda phone:
Owner preferences let you record a name, company name, phone number,
or any other information you want to include on your pda phone.
If you use the Security application to turn off and lock your pda phone with
a password, information that you enter in the Owner Preferences appears
the next time you turn on your pda phone.
To change owner preferences on your pda phone:
1. From the Preferences screen, tap Owner from the pick list in the upper
right corner.
