Formatting a PC Card
As a precaution against formatting the wrong card, there can only be one card in the
camera when you format. Format the card using either the quick format or the full format
feature.
IMPORTANT:
Quick format, while faster, is not recommended if there is a possibility that there are
defects on the PC Card media.
The Recover function only works if a PC Card has been formatted on the camera.
1 Select the Menu icon, then
choose Main Menu from the
dropdown menu. Refer to
“Navigation Techniques” on
page 2-11.
2 Select Card from the Main
menu.
The Card menu appears.
3 Choose Quick Format or Full
Format.
If two cards are in the camera,
you are prompted to remove the
inactive card. For example, if
CARD0 is active, you are
prompted to remove CARD1.
