Symptom
Cause
Remedy
The camera is 
“locked.” Nothing 
works.
The battery is not 
securely in place.
Remove then insert the 
battery.
The camera needs to be 
reset.
Remove the battery.
Open the Battery/PC 
Card door and gently 
insert a paper clip into 
the Reset button. 
Continue pressing the 
paper clip until a slight 
“click” is felt.
