5.1.1.2 Software Upgrade via Local Device
This item is used for updating the DVR-4TN/ 8TN/ 16TN/ 16TS/ 16TT series
unit software by local device. The menu is displayed as follows.

Connect a USB drive that contains the upgrade software to the unit; the
upgrade files that are available will then be listed in the menu. To update the
system, select a file and use UP / DOWN keys to choose . Press
ENTER to confirm the selection and start the upgrade process. The
DVR-4TN/ 8TN/ 16TN/ 16TS/ 16TT
series unit uploads the software, updates
the system files, and reboots automatically.
The upgrade process may take several minutes to complete. After rebooting
the unit, please check the software version again.
NOTE: If you want to upgrade your unit with a USB ThumbDrive ®
contains the newest software, make sure the software you want to use
to update the unit should be fold into a folder named “upd_200s”,
otherwise, the unit cannot recognize it.
NOTE:
Power interruption cannot occur during the software upgrade
process. Ensure that no power interruption can happen until the unit is
completely rebooted.
NOTE : Do not remove the external USB ThumbDrive ® /CD-ROM
before the unit has completely shut down (hard drive and fan are off).
Removing the external USB ThumbDrive
® /CD-ROM before shut down
can cause the system to update improperly.
5.1.1.3 Software Upgrade via Internet
This item is used to upgrade the unit’s software via the internet. Select one of
the listed software versions and choose . The DVR-4TN/ 8TN/ 16TN/
16TS/ 16TT
series unit uploads the software, updates the system files and
reboots automatically.
