Preparing the Printer
Use the following procedure to prepare the printer before installing optional paper trays:
1. Switch the printer power off.
2. Unplug the printer from the wall outlet.
3. Remove the power cord from the back of the printer.
4. Unpack the paper tray support unit or units (if you have two). Place each paper
tray support unit on a flat stable surface.
5. Remove the tape and packing materials from the paper tray support unit.
Note: The small piece of tape has a small piece of protective plastic attached to
it. Normally, the plastic come out when you remove the tape. If it does not come
out with the tape, make sure you remove it.
