Gateway 7450R Server System Manual
To replace the riser card:
1
Turn off the system and disconnect the power cord and all external
peripheral devices.

Open the case. See “Opening the case” on page 18 and “Preventing static
electricity discharge” on page 17.

Remove any expansion cards installed in the system. See “Replacing an
expansion card” on page 43.
4
Remove the two screws that secure the riser card assembly to the chassis.
5
Disconnect the riser card from the edge connector on the system board,
then lift the riser card assembly out of the chassis.
