5. A user with platadm or fieldeng authority must log in to the XSCF Shell and

type the poweron command.

Soon, the following activity is executed:

The POWER LED on the operator panel is turned on.

The power-on self-test (POST) is executed.

Then, the server is completely powered on.

Note –

If automatic startup of the Solaris OS is specified, use the sendbreak -d

domain_id

command of the XSCF Shell to display the ok prompt after the display

console banner is displayed but before the system starts booting the Solaris OS.

Power-on by Using the Operator Panel

1. Verify that the server has enough power supply units to operate in the desired

configuration.

2. Connect all the power cords to power outlets.

3. Verify that the XSCF STANDBY LED on the operator panel is on.

4. Turn the mode switch on the operator panel to the desired mode position

(Locked or Service).

5. Press the power button on the operator panel.

Soon, the following activity is executed:

The POWER LED on the operator panel is turned on.

The power-on self-test (POST) is executed.

Then, the server is completely powered on.

Note –
