Replacement and Installation of
Memory
This chapter explains how to replace and install memory (DIMMs).

DIMMs are cold replacement components. This means that the entire server must be
powered off and the power cords must be disconnected to replace the DIMMs.
The same methods as those for replacement are used for installation of DIMMs.
