Trouble Shooting
Symptom Remedy
Replace the hose.
Tighten the fitting.

Tighten the hydraulic valve retainer bolts and/or
replace "O" ring.
The Pressure and Tank lines are switched. Properly
connect the Pressure and Tank lines. See Operation,

Dies slide on the drill pipe during
make up or break out.
Spinner chain slips on the drill
pipe tube.
Spinner chain wears out
prematurely. Lubricate the spinner chain using the oiler
button.
Running the spinner with worn Drive rollers
severely shortens chain life. If the Drive
RollerGroove is no longer visible, replace the
Drive rollers. Inspect the chain. Replace the
chain if the links are worn flat.
Dies do not grip pipe across from each other. Adjust the wrenches and the pipe stop
index to the OD tool joint size.
Adjust the pipe stop index and the
wrenches to the OD tool joint size.
The dies are worn out. Replace the
dies.
The spinner is adjusted too large for the
drill pipe tube. Adjust the spinner to the
correct pipe size.
The spinner chain is worn out. Replace
the spinner chain.
