Set whether to adjust the ISO sensitivity or
gain using [ISO/GAIN SEL] (p. 106).

Set the AUTO/MANUAL switch F
to MANUAL.

Press the ISO/GAIN button C .
The or next to the ISO value or
gain value disappears, and the value is
highlighted.

Turn the MANUAL dial A to
adjust the value.
To adjust automatically
Press the ISO/GAIN button C while the
ISO value or gain value is highlighted.
The ISO value or gain value disappears, or
appears next to the ISO value or gain
value. When AE is fixed, appears.

Turn the MANUAL dial A to
adjust the shutter speed.
When [60i] is selected:
You can select from 1/8 to 1/10000 (1/6
to 1/10000 when shooting at 24p).
When [50i] is selected:
You can select from 1/6 to 1/10000.
The denominator of the set shutter speed
appears on the LCD screen. For
example, [100] appears on the LCD
screen when you set the shutter speed to
1/100 second. The larger the value on
the LCD screen is, the faster the shutter
speed is.
z Tips
• It is difficult to focus automatically at a lower
shutter speed. Manual focusing with your
camcorder attached to a tripod is recommended.
