Create the Module - Local Rack
1 In the C
ONTROLLER O RGANIZATION window, expand the I/O configuration
node.
2 Select the 1756 B ACKPLANE node, and then click the right mouse button to
open a shortcut menu. On the shortcut menu, choose N EW M ODULE ...
3 This action opens the S ELECT M ODULE dialog box.
4 Select the 1756-M ODULE (G ENERIC 1756 M ODULE ) from the list and click OK.
5 Set the Module Properties values as follows:
Parameter Value
Name Enter a module identification string. The recommended value is
MNETCR.
Description Enter a description for the module. Example: Modbus TCP/IP
Multi Client Enhanced Communications Module for Remote
Chassis.
Comm Format Select D ATA -INT (Very Important)
Slot Enter the slot number in the rack where the MVI56E-MNETCR
module is to be installed.
