Scanner Copy or Cloning Instructions
!
Caution!
Do not connect the two scanners to the same signal
source while cloning. Internal calibration may be
affected.
Warning!
Using standard CAT5 or other cable will cause damage to
both scanners. Use PDA1200 meter copy cable only.
1. Remove Serial Modules from the scanners.
2. Set both scanners to Slave Mode.
3. Connect two scanners using a PDA1200 meter copy cable.
4. Do not connect the two scanners to the same signal source.
5. Power up both scanners. Leave Clone scanner in Run Mode.
6. Enter
the Advanced Features menu of the Main scanner; see page 69.
7. Scroll to the Copy function using the Up arrow button then press Enter.
8. The scanner displays the message Send. Press Enter, the display flashes while sending data. The
message done is displayed when copying is completed.
Note: Do not disconnect PDA1200 meter copy cable from either scanner while display is flashing, as
copying is in progress.
9. The Clone scanner displays the message CPY Rc while being programmed then the message done
when copying is completed. The scanner initializes and returns to Run Mode using the same settings
as the Main Scanner.
10. If scanner to be cloned does not respond to the data being sent, refer to Copy Function
Requirements on page 95.
11. Once copying has finished, disconnect copy cable and reconnect serial modules.
