802.1x
The IEEE 802.1x standard IEEE is used as a basis for
authentication on all 802 networks, using a client and server based
access protocol, this is done using a RADIUS server. A RADIUS
server authenticates users trying to access a network by relaying
Extensible Authentication Protocol over LAN (EAPOL) packets
between the Client and the Server. The settings for the server were
configured in the above page. To configure 802.1x settings, click
the Ports Folder, and then the Port Security Subfolder and finally
the 802.1x Page.
