chassis. The 10 Gigabit Ethernet expansion module supports up to
two 10 Gbps Small Form Factor Pluggable (XFP) optical
transceivers. To install the expansion module follow the steps
outlined below:
1. Power off the switch.
2. Remove the 10 Gigabit expansion module bay cover, this is
done by removing the 2 phillips screws holding the bay in
place and then removing the panel.
3. Hold the expansion module by the front panel level with
the expansion bay and carefully slide the board into the
guide slots located in the bay. Do not force the module into
place, make sure it is aligned properly.
4. Guide the module back until the backplane connector is
inserted in the chassis backplane, the front of the module
will be flush with the chassis when fully insterted.
5. When the module is firmly in place, use the attached
module screws to secure it.
