Reconfiguring Name Resolution
To change whether and how hostnames used in connections are resolved to IP addresses,
complete the following steps.
• Press [F2] to display the Terminal Properties sheet.
• Select the Network Tab.
• Select Specify an IP Address.
• Provide the required IP information (see the Network section).
• Click “Advanced Network…” under the Network tab to display the Advanced
Network Setting dialog box.
• Verify the information boxes
If the terminal is using DHCP, values supplied by DHCP are grayed out; you will not be
able to change them. You can change all values that are not supplied by DHCP.
Enable DNS
To resolve computer names, the unit will use the domain name. DHCP will supply
IP information.
Enable WINS
To resolve computer names, the unit will use Windows Internet Naming Service.
DHCP will supply IP information.
Click OK to save your changes or Cancel without saving to quit the dialog box.
