Choose Display Resolution
The following screen lets you choose a display resolution.
Select the desktop area and refresh frequency and click Next.
About Monitors
Newer monitors contain a micro-controller that automatically detects the video chip
that is being used by your system. When you turn on the monitor, the micro-controller
will first check the display mode memory stored in the user setting area of the video
chip, and then the monitor’s factory pre-setting area. It then adjusts to the proper display
mode to get the best resolution. The best resolution is the largest desktop and the fastest
refresh rate the monitor supports. You can use virtually any monitor with the unit.
Trying Alternative Display Settings
If you get the default 640x480 desktop, which is standard VGA resolution, the monitor
may support a better resolution. If you want to test this, select a higher resolution from
the list box, then click Test. If the rectangular test is not distorted or skewed, the monitor
will support the selected resolution.
Safe Boot
If you can see the initial logo screen at power-on, but cannot see anything on the monitor
after that, you may need to use the Safe Boot at 640x480 feature.
To use this feature, complete the following.
• Power on the terminal.
• When you see the progress bar on the logo screen, press [F5] to boot at 640x480
at 60HZ.
