Term Terminal Properties
Desktop Area and Refresh Frequency
• Select the resolution and frequency of your monitor. 640x480 @60 Hz is the default.
If the screen is unreadable when you turn on the unit, the monitor settings are incorrect.
• If you changed the Desktop Area and Refresh Frequency setting, click Test. A
distorted partially visible test grid indicates that your monitor does not support that
resolution or frequency setting. Click No on the following dialog box, and then try a
different setting. When the grid is acceptable, click Yes on the following dialog box.
Note:
When you experience the problem that the monitor’s resolution is different
from the terminal’s, please reboot the unit while depressing the [F5] key to
reset the unit to 640 x 480 resolution.
Screen Saver/Wait

• Click on the Screen Saver pulldown field to disable/enable screen saver or turn
off video.
• Click Wait minutes to adjust the waiting time before screen saver starts.
• Enter the number of minutes the terminal is idle before the screen saver is activated.
• Click OK to save your changes or Cancel without saving to quit the dialog box.
Network Tab
Every unit needs a valid IP address to identify itself to the network. This unit supports
dynamic IP assignment through DHCP, or manual assignment of static IP address. If
the terminal is not using DHCP, but you want it to, complete the following steps:
Enabling DHCP to Assign IP Address
• Press [F2] to display the Terminal Properties sheet.
• Select the Network tab.
• Select Obtain an IP address from a DHCP server.
• Click OK.
