Installation of FET Board
1. Follow the procedures for removing the covers from the SCON-20L/22L.
2. Refer to the Slot Population and Identification table in Chapter 3, and locate
the card that you are attempting to install.
3. Use the table to identify which slot the card is to be installed into (should be
either slot J4 or J5).
4. Use the Physical Slot Identification diagram below the table to visually
determine which slot the board will be installed into.
5. Locate the narrow metal insert covering the opening in the back of the 20L/22L,
associated with the slot that the board will be installed into, and remove the
screw holding it in place. Remove and discard the metal insert.
6. You will need to loosen the two screws that hold the front board guide bracket
in place, and slide it forward out of the way.
7. Install the new board into the slot and secure it in place with the screw removed
in step 5. Move the front board guide bracket back into place and secure it
with the two screws loosened in step 6.
8. Reassemble the covers.
9. Using the SCON-20L/22L/25L Configuration Manual as a guide, you must
reconfigure the 20L/22L to recognize the new card. This is done by incrementing
the appropriate board type on the Product Definition panel of configuration.
(Example below.) Continue to configure the new hardware in configuration as
needed.
