Chapter 3. Board Population
Slot Numbers and Logical Identifiers
Either their physical locations (J number) or their logical identifiers (ID) may identify
the Console Concentrator board slots. These numbers are used in identifying boards
that failed and will be reported on the control panel in the failure message as Jnn
(where nn = J number). The following is a cross reference list between the board
slot J numbers and the board slot logical IDs.

Slots designated within parentheses ( ) have no physical connectors. These
logically assigned slots with circuitry are located on the Mother board.
Board ID Assignments
The board ID is used in error determination. Each board type or circuit function
has a particular identification number assigned. The board IDs have a general
format of a 5-bit board type identifier and a 3-bit revision level indicator. To display
the 3-bit revision level, execute Utility 12 or Utility 28. The format is as follows:
