The Europa can be setup to be backward compatible with various
software packages. The APLNCE & CNMTS option can be found in
SYSTEM CONFIGURATION in the SETUP menu.
Note for PATS/PATS+ for DOS Users
Please note that if the version you are using is earlier than 5.4 then it
is not millenium compatible and therefore requires upgrading.

If you are using version 5.4f or later then you can set APLNCE &
CMNTS to FULL LENGTH to obtain the 15 digit Appliance Number
and 20 digit comments lines.
If you are using an earlier version than 5.4f the leave APLNCE &
CMNTS set to 10-DIGIT RESTRICTION.
Note for PATS+ for Windows Users
Please note that you should be using version 1.03.15 or higher. This
version allows you to set the APLNCE & CMNTS to FULL LENGTH
to obtain the 15 digit Appliance Number and 20 digit comments lines.
If you are not using the latest version please contact your supplier for
a free update.
Note for PATSwin Users
Please note that you should be using version 1.05 or higher. This
version allows you to set the APLNCE & CMNTS to FULL LENGTH
to obtain the 15 digit Appliance Number and 20 digit comments lines.
If you are not using the latest version please contact Seaward on
0191 586 3511 for a free update.
Please note that when using PATSwin it only accepts the first 3
results of any test type. This may lead to a FAILED appliance being
indicated as a PASS. For example if the fourth Earth Bond is a fail,
PATSwin will only record the three results, these may all be passes.
Note for PATSwin Users
The Europa has only been tested with Powersuite version 1.4. If you
are using Powersuite then leave the APLNCE & CMNTS set to 10-
DIGIT RESTRICTION.
