Working with advanced functions
PRONET has many advanced features that help you to configure and manage advanced systems.
9.1
Working with files
With
Menu→File→Load Data from file
you can store and reload data of your devices in your local hard disk or
removable media, you can also transfer data from devices in different systems.
9.1.1
Load Data from file
When you open a saved data file you load data on your virtual device. If you are connected to a networked
device, you directly transfer these data to the selected device. Data recalled from a file and hence transferred
to the device are the parameters of the current preset (for CORE PROCESSED loudspeakers it means also the
temperature environment parameter and other internal parameters like masked crossovers and limiters).
If there aren’t devices focused or if the “device type” data saved into the file to load is not the same as the
selected device type, an error message will be generated.
Note: If the device focused is assigned to a “Group” and the “Link” option is active (see “Groups and links”)
then the data loaded from file will be also loaded in every device of the same type in the group. This
operation can be really slow if there are many connected devices: take it carefully!
If the PRONET application works offline and there isn’t any control panel selected, then a new virtual device
(see “Working online/offline” and “Going offline and using virtual devices”) will be added to the Device Tree
list.
9.1.2
Save Data to file
Save the current data of a device into a file in the hard disk of the computer or in any other removable
support.
IMPORTANT NOTE: DATA files (.pcf) saved with PRONET Rel. 1.0 or 1.1 are compatible with PRONET Rel. 2.0.
If you have DATA files saved with previous PRONET versions, you can load them into your devices using the
LOAD file function of PRONET 2.0.
