Channel name
Sets the name for each channel.
Note: Output routing settings, ganging settings and channel names are stored in the preset data, so recalling
a preset you recall also a routing configuration with the channelโs names. Input routing is not stored in the
preset data.
Environmental parameters
Sound travels at different speeds depending on the density of the surrounding air it is traveling through. Cold
air is denser than warm air, thus the sound travels slower than it would if the air was warmer. Temperature
can have a major influence with greater distances, particularly with respect to widely separated speaker
arrays surrounding the audience. A simplified formula to find the average speed of sound for any given
temperature (Celsius) is:
๐ฝ๐/๐ = ๐๐๐ + (๐. ๐ โ ๐ป)
Where V is the speed of sound and T is the temperature of the air.
The speed of sound is also affected by other factors such as humidity and air pressure.
Temperature: with this option you can set the ambient temperature. This parameter is used to calculate the
speed of sound for converting delay times into distance;
Temperature unit: sets the temperature unit scale (Celsius or Fahrenheit units scale);
NOTE: The temperature parameter influences all the delay parameters if they are set with unit of
measurement for length (mm, m, inch, feet,...). When you recall a preset, the stored delay is displayed
according to the general temperature value. You can set the delay parameters with a time unit value if you
donโt want this correction of visualization.
Firmware update
The firmware update mode must be enabled in PC240/PC260 before connecting them to PRONET and can be
performed only by the USB cable. Please, refer to the User Manual for information about this feature and
how to enable this mode.
If the connected device is in Firmware Update Mode all the Edit Parameters are disabled and the firmware
update button is enabled to open the update panel.

Preset control
Fig.68 Presetโs control section.
In the Preset section of the Edit Panel you can store and recall preset to/from the memory of a connected
device. In the Preset section some useful data about the device are also displayed (Fig.68):
1.
Connection status for a Real Device or indication of Virtual Device
2.
Link Active or Not Active
3.
Group Assignment
4.
Current preset in use
5.
Store and Recall buttons
The * symbol in the preset name indicates that you made some changes in the current preset and they
arenโt saved yet.
